I picked up my first camera over 30 years ago, and documented every aspect of my childhood travels through Europe on film. Then as our world moved towards digital, I did the same. But something was lacking and I realized digital images would never produce the same magical results as film could.

Film has that certain 'je ne sais quois' and even the simplest moments I capture feel so special on film. There is a reason it's considered the gold standard and luxury medium of photography. You don't just look at the images, but they in fact speak to you. Their depth, softness, and dreamy tones truly make you feel something. As I carefully choose what to photograph on film, I curate your story with an approach of quality over quantity, resulting in more artful and meaningful imagery for you.

I moved to the United States from Germany at the age of 18 and while the D.C. area has been home for almost 20 years, I consider myself a Southerner at heart. I spent a year living in Savannah and fell in love with the Lowcountry. I make it a point to return several times per year for both my couples and our family vacations.

Although I may be the least german German you'll ever meet, my work remains heavily influenced by my European heritage, as well as my love for travel, art, history, and human connection. Every detail of your wedding day is important to me. I want you to remember how your day felt, with authentic, emotion-filled images and a blend of editorial and documentary photography. I want you to take in the moment and then relive it over and over again!

I had my first wedding experience sneaking into a ballroom reception in a fancy hotel in Paris with my grandmother when I was 4 years old. We danced and laughed and I admired the bride's beautiful gown. It was such innocent fun and will always be one of my fondest memories. I truly believe it was that very night, my love for weddings was born and to this day, I still get just as excited to see my brides on their big day.
