Photography was always in my blood, with a filmmaker dad and hobbyist mom always capturing memories on rolls of film. When I was nine, my dad gifted me my first camera at the Disney gift shop. Since then, I’ve never stopped photographing. I fell in love with dreamy film imagery, capturing my childhood travels, life, and family along the way.
At just 18, I moved from my native Germany to the United States. For over twenty years, I’ve called the DC area home. It’s where I raised my four children. As a mother, I know firsthand how quickly the seasons of motherhood change. With two boys grown, I feel just how fleeting those younger years are. It’s why I’m drawn to the in-between moments, the quiet glances, the way your child reaches for your hand. These are the little things I remember of my own children.
And truly, mothers deserve to be seen in photographs– not just as the one behind the camera, but as part of the story. The beautiful thing about film photography is it allows me to capture your family with softness, depth, and a timeless quality that digital can’t replicate. It makes even the smallest moment special. Yes, I am almost as in love with film as I am with my family.

For families, my goal is not just to take beautiful images, but to create heirlooms that will live in your home for years to come. Most people keep photos on their phones. I help you bring your family’s story into the places you gather together.
My approach is gentle and unhurried, allowing your family to simply be together. I take care of everything, from wardrobe to artwork, so you can be fully relaxed for family photos.
To this day, my work remains heavily influenced by my European heritage, as well as my love for travel, art, history, human connection, and (of course) Jesus. I’ve honed the craft and process that brings timeless, elevated imagery to life. Film photography is my greatest passion, and it has shaped the way I see, create, and tell stories through images.
The photographs in my own home (all taken on film!) are some of my most treasured possessions. We don’t go a single year without updating them, as they hold the pieces of our story I never want to forget.

To me, film has always held that certain 'je ne sais quois' – even the simplest moments feel deeply special when captured on film.
