The National Mall has been representing the United States and its democratic values for over 200 years, where many of the country’s most iconic monuments and statues reside. The National Mall is an expansive park stretching from the United States Capitol to the Potomac River. It is a symbolic space that honors and recognizes many of the great heroes that have made this country what it is today. 

In addition to the memorials and monuments, the National Mall is also home to over 1,000 acres of green space, parks, ponds, and other natural beauty, making for beautiful engagement photos with plenty of greenery and scenic spots. It’s an incredibly beautiful area in the heart of the city in the heart of the United States.

When it comes to iconic engagement photos, it doesn’t get much better than incorporating some of the most famous monuments in the world. If we photograph at the National Mall, we’ll be able to incorporate some pretty epic backdrops, like the emblematic Washington Monument, the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, and other architectural marvels. Additionally, the National Mall exudes grandeur and history everywhere you look, making it perfect for unforgettable and visually stunning photos. 

We’ll also be sure to wander through the park spaces of the National Mall, taking advantage of the beautiful trees, thoughtful landscaping, and enchanting ponds. The Reflecting Pool and the Tidal Basin make for intimate, serene backdrops, and the colors of the surrounding trees will reflect the changing seasons for gorgeous photos.

Cherry Blossoms in D.C.

Of course, it wouldn’t be spring in Washington, D.C. without the cherry blossoms! If you time your engagement photos just right, we’ll be able to take advantage of the remarkable pink blossoms that fill downtown D.C. 

The blossoms usually bloom from late March through early April, transforming the city into a romantic scene with transcendent romance. It does get hectic, however, so if incorporating cherry blossoms is important to you, let me know in advance so we can talk about how we can navigate the crowds!
